Standard Operating Procedures and Workflow

  • Sales

    1. Set the appointment
    2. Gather information
    3. Homeowner needs analysis.
    4. Build proposal

    7. Get install agreement
    8. Complete site survey
  • Engineering

    Planet Plan Sets LLC is the company we use for engineering.

    1. Site survey photos will be uploaded.
    2. Order bill of material
    3. Obtain engineering stamps if required for the project.
  • Permitting

    Submit the project for net metering to the utility provider.


    *Net metering is the agreement between the homeowner and their utility provider stating the exchange rates for any energy sent back to the grid.

    1. Fill out all documentation required by the city to obtain a permit for the project address.
    2. Submit the site plans to the city for approval.
  • Order Materials

    If the install has not been scheduled, we can offer storage.

  • Schedule Installation

    Once procedures 1-4 have been completed the project is ready to be installed.

    1. Check our internal schedule and confirm a date that can work for installation.
    2. Contact the homeowner for confirmation of the tentative installation date.
    3. Provide homeowners with install instructions and tell them what to expect on install day.
  • Installation Day

    Project manager will oversee installation ensuring customer satisfaction.


    1. The installation will be completed in four separate stages:

    1. Fasten Rails to the roof
    2.  Secure panels to the rails
    3.  Complete external wiring to connect panels to the inverter
    4.  Wire to inverter to the homes power supply

    2. Run all necessary system tests.

    3. The Project Manager needs to run one final inspection and sign off on the system.

  • Final Inspections and PTO (permission to operate)

    1. Project Manager will coordinate with the city and utility to schedule a final inspection date.
    2. Demonstrate the emergency shutoff switch, inverter capacity and operation of the system to the inspector.
    3. Once all inspections have been completed we will be granted PTO and the system can be officially turned on.
  • Reviews and Rebates

    1. Once the system is operational contact the homeowner for a satisfaction survey.
    2. Ask the homeowner to leave a review.
    3. Pay out any rebates given to the homeowner during the sales process.
